We interrupt this blog…

for an exhausting but enjoyable graduation weekend. My daughter graduated from high school on Saturday. I can’t tell if I am excited because of her accomplishment or that I am closer to being ‘kid free’ at home. The oldest will be a senior in college next year (Physics and Math) and my daughter is starting her Biology major. Of course one is 2 1/2 hours north and the other is 2 hours south. Luckily the oldest can drive himself.

We also had to prepare for the senior ball on Thursday night and get the house ready for the descending relatives Friday thru Sunday. I tried to capture as many pictures as I could but I will be the first to admit… I’m not good with people in the viewfinder! LOL

Here are a few of the highlights…

  1. Great pictures, Mike! I didn’t realize you had a graduating senior too! Mine is my oldest though, so it is all first time around for us.

    • Congratulations to you! One down, one to go? I do recall seeing a post of yours with a graduate but it was during work and I never went back to comment. I can’t say the second time around it gets any easier… 🙂

Thanks! I do not enjoy taking pictures of people. I never feel like I get it right.

  2. Wonderful shots Mike and the thoughts of having a kids free home….I am sure this should not be said out too loudly. When you think they have flown the nest….there are always the moments they need mum and dad for some r&r, washing, or should I say occasionally the bank of mum and dad. Well this is what my parents used to say in my case. Lol! and have a great weekend.

  3. Wow, look at these dresses ! Your children seemed to had a lot of fun. I don’t have kids but I’m sure a graduation week-end must be very exhausting !
    Great photos Mike 🙂

    • Thanks Jocelyne. To me the kids seem older than they really are, probably the clothes. And yes, the last week leading up to the graduation is just a blur. Now it is done, in 2 months the house will be empty when they go off to college. Ssshhh, don’t tell them but I can’t wait! 🙂
