This was the project last weekend – new clothes poles in the back yard. Last spring (2012) I had to pull up the old clothes poles to make room to dig a new line from the well. When I went to re-plant them one of them snapped in half. I suppose they were due to be replaced anyway, they were here when I bought the house 19 years ago.
This year was the year to get the new ones into the ground. I dug the holes and then the water came. And it came. And it came. It wasn’t until last weekend that the ground finally was dry enough for me to get to work. Everything turned out well. Clothes were dried this weekend and nothing fell over.
I thought I would try a new project – images using the square format. I liked how my Monochrome Winter project went this year and I needed something to keep me exploring outside my comfort zone of landscapes. Hopefully I’ll learn something along the way…
Squared – SQ01

cool! bokehlicious 🙂
Thanks!
This is really nice. I really like this!!
Thanks Meagan! My first attempt had focus on the first hook but that just didn’t work.
You certainly went outside your comfort zone Mike ! I like this image, the focus is perfect and the bokeh is beautiful 🙂
Thanks Jocelyne! This is what happens when I read. 🙂
Nice composition.
Thanks Brett!
Absolutely spot on Mike with this shot and for the sq format this really does this type of shot justice. Brilliant!
Thanks James! I was wandering the backyard and the bright shiny caught my eye. I had just finished reading a book about using the square format and thought this image fit. I’m liking the series I’m playing with! Always appreciate your comments and support. Have a great weekend!
