Those of you that have been viewing this blog for a while know that I am a fan of Disney. A big fan! It was this fanaticism that started my journey into photography. This fall my two favorite interests are coming together. The Disney Photography Blog is hosting Photo Magic 2013 at Walt Disney World in October. This will be 5 days of events and park exploring with other, like minded Disney and photography fans. Yesterday marked the six week countdown window!

Although I love visiting the parks in Walt Disney World around the holidays and many will say the Christmas season is the best time to visit, my favorite time of the year is in the fall. I absolutely love the decorations in the Magic Kingdom as the park celebrates autumn and Halloween. I have been to the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party more times than I should probably admit. The party includes a special parade and fireworks as well as trick-or-treat stations with candy! Plus it is the only occasion when the Disney Villains are out in force in any park.

I’m hoping that being in the company of so many great Disney photographers will help me up my game some. The last trip to the park during the Halloween party was with the family and I just wasn’t able to get as much photography in as I would have liked. Below are some images from the Magic Kingdom over the past few autumn trips. I’m pretty sure the techniques and confidence I have learned over the past year will help me come home with some great images. If nothing else I know I will have fun and will create some wonderful memories!
