Reflection Series – RS02
I was in a bit of a hurry yesterday morning to get my post uploaded before work and I did not explain what this new series will be about. Although, I’m sure it is fairly evident what I will be doing. First a little back story…
Last week for our weekly photo challenge (coined Club 52, thanks Steve!) we were working on reflections. Long time followers will know I have a penchant for a good reflection and I though the choice would be a slam dunk for me. As it turned out I was hindered by a few factors, some beyond my control and one (a new addiction to Game of Thrones) I should have kept in check. It was coming down to the wire and I was running out of opportunities.
Somewhere in the dark corners of my head an idea sprung forward. I thought it might be interesting to use my 8×8″ mirror to create the reflections I wanted to highlight. The rain broke for a brief moment late Saturday and I played with a few compositions in the yard. I was hooked. I thought I might have time on Sunday to complete the challenge but that was not to be. I quickly posted my first attempt and immediately decided to make it into a new project for myself. I am going to be carrying that mirror in the car from now on just in case…
Hopefully I will not flood my stream with these and drive people away. lol

Another most spectacular reflection technique! I might experience it myself if you won’t mind & hopefully remember to bring it with next day off 🙂
Thanks! I would love to see what you create with a mirror.
Me too! Thanks for permitting me to eventually use this technique.
Wow! Cool image!! I love this idea.
Thanks! I scare myself sometimes… lol
What a creative and cool photo! Looking forward to more…
Thanks! Hopefully I can keep the creativity going…
Reminds me of the ones I have shot in the side view and rearview mirrors in the car. Now I must find some small portable mirrors laying around 🙂
Very creative idea. Nice work.
Thank you!
Really cool idea! I’ll look forward to seeing more.
Thanks Karma! It definitely adds some interesting views to familiar subjects.
