Colorful Energy

Monorail Monday
Future World, Epcot, Walt Disney World

I couldn’t let another Monday pass by without posting an image of a monorail! Looking back at the pictures I captured on my one Disney park day in March I think a good third of them are of a monorail. I’ll chalk it up to me still trying to find that new and unique image. Yeah, that is what I’ll tell myself… LOL

Living on the Edge

Lake Haines, FL

I think I am suppose to live close to water. I have always been drawn to it. I played in the creek as a kid and even today I wander the various waterways looking for interesting images. When I discovered what a longer exposure can do to moving water I was fascinated. When I need to unwind, going to a place where I can hear the sound of the water is always relaxing.

Yesterday might be known as Star Wars Day and May the Fourth but today is Revenge of the Fifth!. This is from my first solo trip to Disney and also my first Star Wars Weekend. I tried a little something different with this image to help Darth Goofy stand out more from the crowd. I added a slight radial blur. Not sure if it totally works but half the fun of photography is trying out different creative looks.

On this unofficial Star Wars Day (May the 4th Be With You) I thought it appropriate to share Jedi Mickey from one of the Star Wars Weekends in 2015. Unless you want to stand in line for a photo opportunity (which feels slightly uncomfortable for me when I go alone) your best bet to catch the characters is during the parade.

Riverside Sunset

Riverside Park, Indialantic, FL

My recent quick trip back to Florida to pick up my Mom and Grandpa has me jonesing for a photography excursion in Florida.  To help satiate that feeling I thought I would process an image from my trip in March.  This is yet another view of the dock/pier at Riverside Park in Indialantic.  The clouds were rolling in quick and there was some rain approaching but I was able to capture the glow from the setting sun. This isn’t a very long exposure but it was enough to highlight the movement of the grass at the water’s edge.  Can I really wait until October for the next trip?
