Delta Lake State Park
I picked up a used lens the other day. I enjoyed exploring with my 50mm and wanted a lens that was a little wider. I found the retro-themed Nikon Z 28mm online and decided to give it a try. I must confess I have been looking at the Nikon Z f camera and the 28mm would pair nicely with it.
After a brief snow “storm” (not really) on Monday the weather turned around yesterday and reached into the mid 50’s. The sun was out and although it was a little windy I needed to go for a walk after work. Delta Lake was my destination of choice to stretch my legs and try out the new to me lens.

very nice!
Awesome!
Spring was definitely in the air today. I love the “feeling” of these shots – whether it was warm for you when you took them I don’t know but that’s how they feel.
I have a friend who recently purchased the Zf and very much enjoys it. The retro look is cool, however I am not a fan of the grip, or lack thereof I should say. Or maybe its just that I’m still a Canon girl 😉
It was a warm day, especially compared to the previous day. The color of the light being diffused through the thin clouds definitely helped with the feeling in the images.
The grip is one of my concerns with the Zf and probably the reason I’m still “debating” internally. I borrowed a Fujifilm X-T3 quite a few years ago and enjoyed the mechanical nature of using the dials. It slowed me down and enforced a more deliberate approach to capturing images.
My friend bought a third party grip for the Zf, but I still didn’t care for how it felt in my hands.
Beautiful! Love the first one!
