I really like the first shot. The contrast and the twisty roots make for an interesting composition. I’ve seen quite a bit of tree fall around here recently too.
From your post, it seems we both were drawn to gnarly tree roots. Thanks.
Old trees always seem to have a bit of dignity before they go back to the earth. Nice images.
