Columbus Botanical Garden
We had our first frost this past week. Still not a fan of the cold but the temps eventually got up close to 50 degrees so I shouldn’t complain. We are back to mid 70’s this week and should hit low 80 by Thursday. Mornings will be a little on the cool side but I can live with that…
Although I know the botanical garden is preparing for the holiday event I stopped over Sunday to see how the few remaining flowers handled the frost. Not great, but it is to be expected. It works for me though because I think there is a different beauty in a flower past its prime. What do you think?

Maybe past the traditional definition of prime…but prime in another way, complete with color clinging and new wrinkles to add character.
Thanks Dawn!
Awwww, beauty found with a touch of sadness.
Something about the faded flowers draws me in every time…
