A New Gallery

New Site Photo Gallery

Sometimes I wonder if I shouldn’t spend a little more time on site maintenance. I go in sprints. Long stretches of inactivity except for the occasional post, and then I get in a mood to rework my blog. I have been enjoying the latest series of faded floral images and thought maybe I had enough for a new gallery. I didn’t have as many as I thought I did, but it is still interesting to reminisce about past images.

I ended up reworking a couple of my faded floral images to enhance the look I have been using lately. The result was yesterday’s post Faded Glory. Today I reworked a few more images and added an entire gallery of the same name Faded Glory. You can access all my galleries from the Home page. Although every image in the new gallery has been posted previously, check it out and let me know your thoughts…

Faded Glory

Revisiting past images

I have been happy with the results of my recent floral images of subjects past their prime. I looked into my previous posts and found quite a few more beauties I wanted to revisit. I’m also working to add a gallery to this blog’s home page for Faded Glory. Here are a few I found from 2016 & 2019…

After The Frost

Columbus Botanical Garden

We had our first frost this past week. Still not a fan of the cold but the temps eventually got up close to 50 degrees so I shouldn’t complain. We are back to mid 70’s this week and should hit low 80 by Thursday. Mornings will be a little on the cool side but I can live with that…

Although I know the botanical garden is preparing for the holiday event I stopped over Sunday to see how the few remaining flowers handled the frost. Not great, but it is to be expected. It works for me though because I think there is a different beauty in a flower past its prime. What do you think?
