Sweet gum seed pod? I think those trees are pretty, such beautiful colors in the fall. But my sister and brother, who live down there hate them. I didn’t know why until I stepped on a few of their seed pods one year. We ended up taking our one sweet gum tree down.
I believe you are correct. And yes, stopping on one w/o shoes is not fun.
