My timing could not have been any better yesterday morning. I went down to the barge canal at Bellamy Harbor to capture the sunrise. There were still some clouds in the sky and with the sun still a half hour away from making an appearance I was able to capture a panoramic view of the harbor that goes from a night scene to a sunrise scene.
I generally try to shoot my panoramics in portrait mode. With the harbor having quite a large viewing angle I needed 9 individual shots to create this image. Lightroom does a really good job at stitching the pano together. Once I had what I wanted it was a few minor adjustments and tweaks to achieve my results.

My flight home on Monday was not until late morning. I didn’t have to leave the hotel until 8:30am which allowed me to get out one last time for some sunrise images. I got lucky again as it turned out to be a pretty good morning. I stopped before the bridge on route 98 over the Blakeley River to capture the view toward Mobile Bay.
