My friend Justin has a drone. Lately we have been talking about capturing images with it and how to use it to create high dynamic range (HDR) pictures. He had the opportunity this past weekend to explore the area around Clayton, NY while his wife was busy being a bridesmaid. It’s not as bad as it sounds. He wasn’t a part of all the festivities over the weekend which allowed him to fly around in the mornings. He was there for the important evens.
He let me import all his images into Lightroom so I could show him what can be done with all those exposure brackets he captured. We reviewed all the pics during lunch but last night I went to town and processed a few of my favorites (there are more still to work on). A quick, short run up to Delta Lake for the sunset yields a few interesting images. This late in the season the park is mostly deserted which, to be truthful, is how I enjoy it best. The water level is a little low allowing me to walk the shoreline looking for different views.
