Floral Fun
Although the past few days have been quite hectic I did manage to sneak out around the house to play with the camera. There are more flowers in bloom and I was playing with the on-camera flash. I purchased Bryan Peterson’s Understanding Flash Photography a little while ago and definitely need to read the book. I was waiting until I purchased a flash unit for my camera but I think even a better understanding for the on-camera flash would be good for me.
We interrupt this blog…
for an exhausting but enjoyable graduation weekend. My daughter graduated from high school on Saturday. I can’t tell if I am excited because of her accomplishment or that I am closer to being ‘kid free’ at home. The oldest will be a senior in college next year (Physics and Math) and my daughter is starting her Biology major. Of course one is 2 1/2 hours north and the other is 2 hours south. Luckily the oldest can drive himself.
We also had to prepare for the senior ball on Thursday night and get the house ready for the descending relatives Friday thru Sunday. I tried to capture as many pictures as I could but I will be the first to admit… I’m not good with people in the viewfinder! LOL
Here are a few of the highlights…

She Loved to Sing in the Rain
Interesting Night Ahead
The i heart faces summer photo challenge is still in progress. Each day in June there is a different theme to use in capturing an image. I learned about the challenge from Karma on her When I Feel Like It Blog. I started out fairly well the first few days of June and have since fizzled.
Here is my contribution for today, which is themed clouds. I noticed this formation as I was returning from town. Of course I used a different car and did not have my camera with me. As I raced home I knew they were morphing, I just hoped there would still be enough for an interesting image. I grabbed the camera, ran into the field across the road and clicked away.
Tomorrow the theme is hat. Since I am seldom without one, maybe there is something I can do… I can’t let another couple of weeks pass, the month will be over.
