It had seemed like such a long time since I had been out exploring with my camera. I had some company this weekend as my Mom and Grandpa came out for a visit. Driving home from dinner Saturday night was tough for me as we had a beautiful sunset developing as I approached home. I know Mom would have understood if I had taken off with the camera but I just vowed to get out on Sunday after the visit was over.
Sunday turned into laundry day but I did manage to go exploring around the neighborhood a little. My neighbors across the road have a little mini vineyard in their side yard and this year appears to be a good year for the grapes. I couldn’t resist grabbing a few images. After the visit with my family the grapes just solidified my nostalgia as Grandpa had some wonderful Concord grapes in his yard when I was growing up. I remember stealing bunches to eat as I rode the lawn mower around earning my allowance. I’ll have to see if I can manage to talk the neighbors out of a bunch or two when the time is right…
