Thursday evenings trip into Rome, NY for my images of churches reminded me of the holiday displays the city assembles. Although the temperature was not as pleasing last night I couldn’t resist making another trip into town to see what I could capture. I also decided to leave the fish-eye lens on the camera and attempt to capture as much of the lights as possible.

Autumn Falls
I believe the car has a mind of its own. It seems like every time I am driving north on route 81 from Binghamton, the darn car ends up exiting at LaFayette and finding its way to Chittenango Falls State Park. It must know when the weather is favorable that I need to stop and stretch my legs.
Sunday turned out to be a nice day to do some exploring so I really didn’t complain when the car ventured off on its detour. The colors were at their peak this past weekend and added a nice change from my normal images at this state park. I was hoping there had been enough rain to provide water in the side alcove I had found early this year but it was not to be. I guess this view isn’t a bad second place… 😉
Autumn Rest
Ups and Downs of the Fall
I traveled to Binghamton on Sunday to visit with my daughter and pick up a dresser from my mother-in-law. The day started out cold and rainy but by the time I was 30 minutes from the house it had done a 180. I stopped at a few of the state parks on the way back home to capture the autumn colors. This is from Pratt’s Falls State Park just south of Jamesville, NY and east of LaFayette, NY on route 20. I still need to process the images of the waterfall with the autumn colors in bold display but I really liked this one of the teeter-totter.
