Cocoa Beach Pier, Florida
I dove back into some old Florida images to find another at Cocoa Beach. This will be one of the first destinations when I make it back to the coast…

Now that I work 5 minutes from my apartment, I don’t carry my camera bag with me. There are a couple of other reasons as well, such as, no cameras allowed in the building, too cold to leave it in my car, etc. Plus, I’m only taking a 30 minute lunch which doesn’t allow enough time to go anywhere for a walk with the camera. The new place is also too close to a couple secure facilities so I don’t think walking around the parking lot with a camera would be a good idea… LOL
I did stop on the drive in yesterday to capture this sunrise view of the airport with my phone. The sign is new, and that is the airport back there behind the trees. There are no commercial flights from here, but I still see the Air Force using the runway for training. I guess I’m not aware of what categorizes a building next to a runway as an international airport, but I liked the view…

On my initial trip to Palm Bay, this is the first spot I found to grab a few images. It is Kiwanis Park at Geiger Point in Melbourne, FL. The 192 Causeway is crossing the Indian River to bring you to Indialantic and Melbourne Beach. I make it a point to stop here every trip to the Florida coast. This is literally the last image I captured on my last trip back in 2018.
I’m planning another trip for May of this year. Hopefully I can get a room at Disney’s Vero Beach resort. The resort is pretty much centered in the area of the coast I want to explore, from Cocoa Beach to Juno Beach. It is still four months away but I have already begun to make lists of places I wanted to visit/photograph. This planning is partially the reason for the flood of old Florida images showing up in my posts. Well, that and the lack of any new winter photographs due to the insanely cold temps… LOL.
