Sitting Through the Seasons
Delta Lake State Park
Well, I am not doing this photography thing very well lately. I could contrive numerous reasons, but basically, my focus has been on other hobbies/interests. That being said, I do want to contribute to Karma’s four season photo hunt.
I’m going to cheat in order to play along with everyone else who posted for this hunt. Karma shared the idea for this photo hunt at the beginning of the year. What did I go and do… move to a different state at the end of September. Makes it a little tough to get an image of the same spot through the seasons. So, I found four photos that show the seasons at one of my favorite spots back in NY, Delta Lake State Park.
Considering the hunt was in January I’ll follow the winter, spring, summer and fall rotation. I selected images from the pond at the entrance to the park. This area has more trees around the water which will help show the seasons as well as a bench. I have a soft spot for including a bench in my images…
You should check out Karma’s post for her results, Four Seasons at Conant Brook. I am going to attempt to be more engaged with this blog going forward. Things have settled down after the move and I think (finger’s crossed) that all my drama has been resolved. Now I can get back to exploring my new hometown…

Autumn Bridge
Flat Rock Park, Columbus, GA
I’m still wondering why it took me so long to visit Flat Rock Park. It is five minutes from my apartment. It is a big park with a lot to see and has a lot of opportunities for me. I’m chalking it up to me being basically lazy… 🙂

Landscape Art
Walking the trail near the Butterfly Center I came upon this bench. I had the macro lens still on the camera but I was able to get enough distance to make this image. I loved the weathered look, the light in the trees behind the bench and the leaf covered path. My first thought was to convert this image to look like a painting, or at least my version of a painting… 🙂
