Expedition Everest, Animal Kingdom, Walt Disney World
Fantasyland, Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World
After a long list of Autumn images from my previous weekend excursion I thought I would end the week on a slightly different tone. I returned to vacation at Walt Disney World to find this one of the Casey Jr. Splash and Soak station in the Fantasyland section of the Magic Kingdom. If I am remembering correctly the rains had stopped briefly and I was running around grabbing images with as many reflections in the water as I could. I loved the blue hour sky blending perfectly with the colors of this area…
Frontierland, Magic Kingdom

I have been working on a way to process my Disney images to look like a painted postcard. I tried a watercolor look and originally was working in that direction, but I think I finally found the process I want to use. I’ll admit, I’m no painter and I don’t believe my skills with Photoshop or Illustrator warrant me even attempting something in either of those applications.

Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World

The colors were working well with the sunset sky. Pete is larger than life but fits with the show. So glad I bought the wide-angle lens. I used every bit of it for this one…
African Outpost, World Showcase, Epcot
One of my favorite apps to process images on my phone is Prisma by Prisma Labs. I really put the app through it’s paces during my last Disney trip, you can see the results here. I have been playing with Topaz Labs Studio 2 recently trying to re-create the look I like from the Prisma app. Topaz Labs has quite a few different plug-ins/apps for processing images and their Abstraction tool has been the one I am currently playing with. I’m getting closer to the look I want…
