Moroccan Afternoon

Morocco Pavilion, Epcot, Walt Disney World

I probably photograph the Morocco Pavilion at Epcot more than any other location. Although, the monorails definitely get photographed the most but they are in multiple locations. There is a very organic feel to Morocco. To me, it has a very real atmosphere, more than any of the other pavilions. Japan and China might be a close second but it is Morocco I point my camera at the most. The image was captured across Showcase Lagoon using my telephoto lens. The reflection caught my eye and from there I was changing lenses before I knew it…

The Marketplace

Harambe Market, Animal Kingdom, Walt Disney World

Although I was dodging the rain most of the evening, it did allow for some nice blue hour photographs. The added benefit of the rain is the number of people I had to wait for was drastically reduced. I’ve been able to capture an image of this area in the early morning but this one after sunset might be my favorite so far. The new wide-angle lens helped a lot to allow me to capture this in one image…

Coming and Going

Epcot, Walt Disney World

I’m three weeks away from my next trip to Walt Disney World. After my last visit I wasn’t positive if I would be returning this year but being a cheap SOB I wanted to get my money’s worth from my annual pass, hence the upcoming trip. I haven’t visited the parks in the middle of summer so this should be interesting.

Looking through some of my older images I came across a series I captured of Monorail Green at Epcot. There were two images, one approaching, one leaving, with Spaceship Earth in the middle. I threw those two into Photoshop and combined them to created something impossible to see.

Echo Lake View

Hollywood Studios, Walt Disney World

The view of S.S Down The Hatch from across Echo Lake at Hollywood Studios before Disney decided to remove all the trees. I understand they wanted to create more viewing space for the fireworks show, but I feel it diminishes the character of the park. I wish it wasn’t always about packing a park full of people and there was a return to the smaller details I have always enjoys about the parks…
