All the way back on June 1st Karma (Karma’s When I Feel Like It Blog: Hearts -n- Flowers) introduced her readers to the iHeartFaces June Photo Challenge in which she encouraged us to play along. I have mentioned a few times in this blog that I started, stopped, restarted and tried but June just didn’t cooperate. I had a few pictures and tagged them accordingly for each day.
Karma wrote me this morning and gave me a gentle kick in the butt so that I would revisit the images I captured in June to see how they ‘fit’ into the categories. My hang-up was that I was thinking of images captured on the particular day for each topic, not all of June in general. So, after much review and a little creative interpretation I present my efforts for Karma’s June Photo Hunt…

Challenge: First Thing
Lily of the Morning
Nikon D5100, Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4, 1/200s, 58mm, f/8, ISO 100

Challenge: Natural Light
Pastoral Sunrise
Nikon D5100, Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4, (1/10, 0.4, 1.3s bracket), 28mm, f/16, ISO 100

Challenge: Clouds
Interesting Night Ahead
Nikon D5100, Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4, 1/400s, 70mm, f/16, ISO 200
If you have made it this far then congratulations! I probably should have put the images into a gallery but I like the ability to add captions under each image. To Karma… thank you. This was a great idea and I wish I had put aside a little more time toward it but in the end creative interpretation really saved me. Next time I’ll be less literal… 🙂
