Raquette River

I just realized I never posted this image from last Friday. I had to drive up to Potsdam, NY (where my son is in college) to get his cr worked on. After dropping him back at his dorm I explored around town with the camera. This is the view upstream of Raquette River from the Maple St bridge.

Great Subject, Annoying Background

This is my favorite tree at work. I love looking at it when the late afternoon sun lights up the branches. It is especially great when there are clouds in the sky although a bright, clear blue sky will make the white bark stand out nicely. I just wish I had a better angle to get this tree captured without all the background clutter.
