Don’t Push Me Away

Yes, I know I have it pretty good. I decided to go work early on Friday with the plan of leaving in the early afternoon. The day was shaping up to be beautiful (it did not disappoint) and my plan was to go to the botanical garden. I packed the camera bag so I could drive straight there after work.
I walked through the gate a little before 3pm. Immediately, thoughts of work were washed away. I spent the next hour exploring the corner of ever area. I imagine a sappy smile was plastered on my face the whole time. What a great way to finish the week and start the weekend…

Yesterday was definitely a good day to be outside. I had stayed a little longer at work a few days this week so when 3pm rolled around I took the opportunity to head out a few minutes early. A quick stop at home to pick up the camera before walking through entrance of the botanical garden by 3:30pm. I could feel the work week melt away. Time to explore.
As most of you probably know, I have minimal knowledge of my floral subjects but that doesn’t slow me down. I found these little things poking up along the walkway around the pollinator garden near the farmhouse.

I’m lucky enough to have today off from work (holiday). I’m planning on visiting Callaway Gardens. This time of year is great due to the ever changing blossoms. Plus, the Food & Wine weekends are still going strong and I have more offerings to sample… 🙂
