Winter Picnic Anyone?

Monochrome Winter
Monochrome Monday
Bellamy Harbor Park

I’m going to make it easy on myself today. I’ll stick with the monochrome/B&W theme and show another monochrome winter image. As I was searching for doors yesterday, I did eventually stop at Bellamy Harbor Park. It wasn’t horrible out (as long as I walked with the wind). I managed to find a few scenes worth capturing.

I typically grab an image of this pavilion from the Mill St. bridge. The additional elevation allows me to incorporate more of the area around the pavilion. I chose not to go up to the bridge yesterday as I really did not want to deal with the wind. I know, I should be more brave… :)

West Canada Creek

I am fascinated by water. I could watch the waves in the ocean or flowing water in a stream all day long. Even after an image is captured I sit and stare at the results remembering the moving water. I can hear the sounds of the creek this morning. I’m right back out there, playing in the water…

I love a waterfall image processed as monochrome. To me, it is clean, elegant and amazing. The first view I presented on Saturday was the color image, now it is time for the full gorge view in monochrome.

Dam Sunday

Delta Lake Dam

I have been determined to find the sun… LOL

At first, I thought it was hiding now I think maybe something happened to it. I hear there is a chance it will make an appearance today, we’ll see.

The lack of sunshine didn’t stop me any more than the falling snow yesterday. I went out before dinner in search of a snowy sunset… ha ha ha

OK, I was really interested in seeing how the dam at Delta Lake looked in the snow. I was searching for an image to use on #MonochromeMonday and the textures at the dam would provide me more than a few opportunities. I circled the area around the dam and came home with a few good views. The bonus would be I managed to stay on my feet even though the snow and icy mist tried like hell to put me on my butt.
