Buttermilk Falls State Park
In The Yard – ITY12
It was a photography day yesterday! I went to the Old Erie Canal Park during lunch and played in Butternut Creek under the aqueduct. There will be images of that excursion coming (giving fair warning… 🙂 ). After dinner I switched to the macro lens and went into the field behind the house to chase daisies. This is just one of the keepers I found…

I think I am suppose to live close to water. I have always been drawn to it. I played in the creek as a kid and even today I wander the various waterways looking for interesting images. When I discovered what a longer exposure can do to moving water I was fascinated. When I need to unwind, going to a place where I can hear the sound of the water is always relaxing.

Riverside Park, Indiatlantic, FL
I really love this dock/boat lift next to Riverside Park in Indiatlantic, FL. My previous post on this subject, Simplicity, was an attempt at the long exposure, black & white image style. This post was a little of that but also an attempt to capture more of the character of this dock. I went with the square format to bring more attention to the dock. The previous image the dock was almost secondary to the long exposure water and sky. I’m positive I will be photographing this dock again when I next visit the Melbourne area.
