Skyline

It had been a looonnnggg time since my last visit to Niagara Falls. The opportunity to visit could not be overlooked when I was scheduled for a training class on the outskirts of Buffalo. I’m not sure which aspect of the area I was more intrigued by, the never explored state park or the change/growth of tourism in the area. Besides the falls, the biggest attraction 30 years ago was the Skylon Tower (or Marineland if you had kids!). Now there are casinos, entertainment attractions and huge hotels. I still like the parks though…

A view of the Canadian skyline from the American side of the gorge.

As the story always seems to go… sitting at my desk after dinner, check out the color in the sky as the sun sets, grab the camera, run outside, play with the camera, have a blast!

Quiet Night

Another view of Oneida Lake from Sylvan Beach. This image is less than an hour from the image in the previous post. I couldn’t decide what to point the camera at that night. I went to Sylvan Beach to try photographing the rides at the amusement park but the sunset kept pulling me back to the lake.
