Water Play
Slow Shutter Speed
The past few days have shown great progress in the approaching Spring. Hopefully the color will start to grow as the warmer days coax it out of the ground. As much as I dreaded winter as it dragged on, the white was preferable to all this lifeless brown. On Sunday I ventured into the creek behind the house and then Monday evening I walked the trail behind the shopping plaza in Rome that follows the Mohawk River. Backyard Creek
I guess not every morning can have a beautiful sunrise. I was hoping though… I settled for playing in the creek after grocery shopping. Thirty in Eleven – TIE01
I have been very good at making excuses for not going out with the camera lately. I used everything from the weather to being too tired from work so I decided earlier in the week to give myself a project as a kick in the butt. Thinking of myself as a clever fella I settled on Thirty in Eleven as the name for my project. Which ultimately boils down to a picture a day in November. No real rules other than to take a picture by any means necessary each day in November.
Although it is rather late on November 1st I am posting my first of thirty wonderful creations (or at least a quick snapshot… lol). I had to work most of the day on end of the year inventory but I did get home before sunset and immediately grabbed the camera, tripod and a good CP filter to head off into the backyard creek. Nothing beats some colorful leaves and long exposure water flows, at least in my mind.
