I have been on the hunt for almost three weeks. A Snowy Owl has been living over at the Griffiss Industrial Park and taunting me by perching on the fence and power line poles. Of course the odds have been against me for the most part. When I did have the camera with me, there was no owl, and when I was sans camera, always the owl. This morning on the way to get my oil changed the owl was perched and waiting for me. It is days like this though that I wish I had a longer zoom lens. But I don’t normally capture wildlife so I will make do with what I have for now…

Whooooooooo is the lucky one! (ha, ha couldn’t help myself) You are! I think any chance to get a photo of an owl in nature is fantastic, regardless of which lens you have available.
Thanks Karma! Especially since the owl has eluded me for so long… 🙂
That’s awesome – congrats!!
Thanks! Beautiful bird!
Nice catch! 🙂
Btw., still haven’t managed to work on my ideas list, but I will….and will post it later this month. (Already have posts scheduled for the next couple of weeks or so)
Thanks! I look forward to your list. Always fun seeing what other photographers are doing… keeps my brain working on new ideas. 😉
How wonderful! We have around here somewhere, but I haven’t seen it yet.
Thanks Robin! This one is definitely comfortable will us humans. At times there are half a dozen cars parked near the fence and people running about with cameras. It just goes about its hunt and then returns home once it has caught dinner.
