Letchworth State Park
I know I have said this before but New York State has some incredible landscape. I dream of traveling out West to visit our more famous national parks, but I am still impressed with these state parks. This park was voted the best in the nation for state parks with good reason… it is beautiful.
The GPS brought me into the North East end of the park. I had a good 15 mile drive to reach the more reachable scenic areas in the lower end of the park. Before I get to the three waterfalls, I thought I would show off the views of the gorge.

Nice! We’re on the American side of the Niagara falls this morning…heading to Toronto…but will be coming back through NY on our way home. Hopefully I’ll get to see some landscape here!
Another park I want to get to this summer, Niagara! Hope you are enjoying your Toronto visit!
I have loved New York’s landscape since the day I first moved there. The lush greens, the marvelous fall colors. Now I live in the midst of a pine forest, which I also love. I miss the eastern lushness, but not the humidity.
I would agree with everything Carol. Last few days the humidity was a bear, luckily the rains have made it to us. I’m looking forward to the leaves changing! 🙂
