Sunflowers

Wagner Farms, Rome, NY

It is sunflower time! Well, it is definitely time to visit Wagner Farms in Rome, NY. A friend at work sent me a link to Wagner Farms and their annual sunflower weekends. How could I resist something like this? Especially considering I’m only 10 minutes away from the farm.

Last night was about the perfect time to go. Sunset was going to be dramatic with the encroaching clouds and the temperature/humidity was in that sweet spot for summer. They do it up right. Food, music, games, events and even a wagon ride out into the fields for those with accessibility concerns. With my camera in hand I walked out into the sea of sunflowers. I’m keeping this place on my calendar for the next few weekends, definitely worth returning to the fields as the season progresses…

  1. Need the ‘love’ button again. There are fields of sunflowers here, in NW Michigan somewhere. I accidentally found a batch one year driving back from up there, but I have no idea where I was. These images are just beautiful and I can imagine how much fun you had taking them! Lucky to get them in full bloom AND a beautiful sky at the same time! Well, probably not entirely luck…a bit of planning helps too.
