Delta Lake State Park
The extremely low water level at Delta Lake has created a strip of land from the boat launch area out into the lake. I walked to the very tip of this exposed peninsula to capture the sunset yesterday evening. There was still quite a lot of activity on the lake in the last 30 minutes before sundown. I was able to shoot between the boats, jet skis, and kayaks to get the sun as it disappeared into the clouds at the horizon. It wasn’t as quiet out in the lake as I would have liked but the view was totally worth it…
Midday at Work
The weather was too nice to stay sequestered inside during lunch yesterday. I grabbed the macro lens and went for a walk around the building. Almost was a mistake as I really didn’t want to go back inside and finish the day. The reprieve was definitely worth it and I captured a few interesting images along the way…
Wagner Farms, Rome, NY
It is sunflower time! Well, it is definitely time to visit Wagner Farms in Rome, NY. A friend at work sent me a link to Wagner Farms and their annual sunflower weekends. How could I resist something like this? Especially considering I’m only 10 minutes away from the farm.
Last night was about the perfect time to go. Sunset was going to be dramatic with the encroaching clouds and the temperature/humidity was in that sweet spot for summer. They do it up right. Food, music, games, events and even a wagon ride out into the fields for those with accessibility concerns. With my camera in hand I walked out into the sea of sunflowers. I’m keeping this place on my calendar for the next few weekends, definitely worth returning to the fields as the season progresses…
