Delta Lake State Park

Either I don’t remember my own advice or I’m too lazy to follow it. I have to get outside in order to find those images I want to create. I could blame the long days at work but in truth it would be a hallow excuse. The sun was going to be obscured for the sunset and I almost convinced myself not to venture out after dinner. Happily, I pushed through that thought and ran up to Delta Lake.

I wasn’t planning on capturing the grand landscape, no, this time I was looking for different images. Those views anyone but a photographer would notice. The play of light on the water, the silhouette of a tree branch or the symmetry of a tree-lined channel. I had a good time! I think I came home with a few interesting images. This first one is a slightly different look at the buoy border to the swimming area in the lake. I zoomed in and opened the aperture all the to isolate the first buoy. I like the hint of detail the blur creates in the background…
