Bellamy Harbor, Barge Canal
It has been quite a few weeks, five if I’m actually counting, since I have used my camera. I wasn’t feeling it. I could blame it on the weather but that would be the easy way out. I simply did not want to pick it up. I was positive it wasn’t the end of this journey but I knew forcing myself to “be creative” was not the way to go. So, I let the camera sit in the bag until I wanted to share again…
A lot has been happening. I have this week off. It wasn’t exactly planned but I am going to enjoy it. A couple weeks ago a new job opportunity came my way and I decided to follow it. This past Friday was my last day at my old job and next Monday will be the first at my new one. This new one is only five minutes from my place and I now will have an extra ninety minutes a day for myself. I’m excited, not only for the shorter commute but for the new challenges.
Waking up this morning I knew today was the day to find a new image. It wasn’t going to be that perfect sunrise but the process of getting back out with the camera was all I wanted to do. I stopped at Bellamy Harbor and played around before the sun peeked over the horizon. And really, before the clouds completely obscured the sky. ah, those Monday blues…

I’m excited for your new opportunity! And I’ve been wondering (and to be honest, worrying a little bit) where you were. Glad to see you got out today. Enjoy your week off, get all charged up for the new adventure. Congratulations!
Thanks Dawn! It was the longest I have gone without using the camera. I do feel refreshed this week, and with the sun shining I am also excited for possibilities.
