Yesterday’s search in the fog was related to this week’s challenge at 52frames.com, ‘Scene From a Movie’. I was thinking film noir but looking at the images nothing feels cinematic to me. I still have today to work on the challenge.
I like the images I was able to bring home. As I said, yesterday’s image is my favorite. The images today are me looking for that cinema feel with the shrouded dam. I believe the issue with them, for me, is the composition. I didn’t find the right one.
The last image was the most difficult to capture as the fog was too intense for the camera to detect focus. I manually set the camera at infinity but it still is blurry. I’m going with, “I intended for it to be that way”… ;)

I read that prompt at 52 frames too. I just don’t have the creative juices available to participate in that one, lol. Honestly yesterday’s shot had an Alfred Hitchcock kind of feel to it – I think you hit it with that one, but something spooky could definitely be coming out of the fog with these shots!
Thanks Karma! More fog today so I still have a chance. And I totally get the creative lull for this weeks topic. I’ve been putting it off myself… 🙂
of course you meant it that way. it’s your artist license showing! I like these.
Thanks Dawn. The weather only went downhill today so they might need to be my pics for the challenge… 😊
yea, it’s ugly here today too.
I like these and they absolutely fit a thriller. The blurriness in the last one does work, because the dense fog causes everything to look a bit blurry anyway.
Thank you. Chances for different pics didn’t materialize today. They have become my scenes from a movie pics this week… 😊
Always go with “I intended it to be that way.” :D I really like the last one. The blurriness works well with heavy fog.
I like the last as it is how I felt out there capturing images… unclear and unable to see fully…
