I normally do not seek out insects as subjects for my macro lens, but I’m not passing up an opportunity. As I was chasing the butterflies, there was a determined bumblebee to get his fair share. I would have loved a better view of his wings, but I’ll take what I was able to capture.

I have probably asked you this before, but do you use more than one macro lens? I see this one was a 105mm – is this a 1:1 macro?
Thanks Karma. I currently only have the 105mm, but I have my eye on the 50mm version as the 105 can be a little heavy. And yes, it is a 1:1 macro lens. I did buy a Lensbaby kit which is also a 50mm lens system.
