I was just out inspecting my zinnia beds, noticing all the brown and feeling sad. But we’ve been so lucky to have a long extended time of warm, at least I HAVE zinnias still. This dahlia is beautiful. I used to grow those too, but by the time they grew and bloomed we were almost to frost and it seemed like a lot of work for the short bloom season. But they are soooooo beautiful maybe I should try again next year. If we had another fall like this one we’d get to enjoy them a lot longer!
I really like the dahlia… I just go somewhere that has them for me to see. The only plant I was able to grow when I had a house was the hosta… 🙂
Exquisite detail! I’m sure it is nice to be able to see beautiful color late into the season. Did you notice last year about how late they hang around?
