Cooper Creek Park, Columbus, GA
I mentioned yesterday that my morning visit to Cooper Creek Park was wonderful. That doesn’t quite feel like enough superlatives but I will refrain from gushing (sort of). Suffice it to say, the park is a new favorite place to visit. I will not bore you with any more ill-conceived words… on to my new feathered friends.

Wow, you DID have a nice day with the birds! I love the muddy duck! “The stare” I think is an eastern bluebird? The detail on the stalking heron is great and how awesome to top it all off with an eagle!
When I was ready to leave I drove around the “lake” to scout for my next visit. There was a photographer with a long lens on a tripod. I looked up and immediately parked the car. Almost left without knowing there was an eagle.
Oh my….I was scrolling and saying…and another great shot! LOVED the heron behind the egret, and the light on the heron in the Stalking image, and an EAGLE too? And don’t all bluebirds look a little angry? 🙂 AND you got reflections!! I don’t see how you can top this trip to the park!
Thanks Dawn! It was a great way to start my day.
