Callaway Resort & Gardens
Time is running out on the Callaway Gardens Food & Wine Weekends. This spring event continues until next weekend so I needed to get back to the gardens. I had purchased a sampler pass for the various food/drink offerings and had three punches remaining on my card. I had sampled every station and had my eye on returning to the Pioneer Log Cabin for the “lamb and three bean chili”… it was worth it. And, it got me off the couch.
The color green is in full display now…

Wow! It IS really green there! We’re still in the budding leaves stage where the far away trees look kind of pinkish green. Though I noticed today after we finally had a day in the 70s with sun that some of the maple trees are pretty fully leafed out. Is leafed a word?
The wine and food thing sounds amazing. Glad you got to go back and use up your punch card.d
“Leafed” works for me… I definitely have enjoyed sampling the offerings.
