Sunrise Through the Glass

Hinckley Reservoir
Through the Glass – TTG01

Saturday was supposed to have occasional rain. I read that as there would be some good cloud representation in the sky for the sunrise. It also meant I could put off doing the laundry for a day, but that is a different story. I hadn’t been up to Hinckley Reservoir in a couple of months. I wasn’t positive there would be anything worth photographing but it isn’t far and definitely worth the drive. I also knew there are plenty of rocks near the dam and I wanted to play with the Lensball again. I think everything worked out well for me…

Peekaboo Sun

Bellamy Harbor Park, Rome, NY

I’m sure a big portion of my reasons for always going to Bellamy Harbor Park is the distance from my house. I can be here in fifteen minutes. But, it is also a great location for sunrise/sunset images as the canal is aligned East to West and as the sun traverses the seasons it will rise/set in different areas of the park. I suppose it doesn’t hurt that I’m a fan of water, reflections and silhouettes in my images…

Oil Can Project – OCP13

A forgotten gem in my collection.I captured some images of this can a long time ago but never was happy with the results. Sadly, I never set it back up for the re-shoot. What was I thinking?

Glass Half Full

Delta Lake State Park

I promise I will not go crazy making images with the Lensball. But, like any kid with a new toy, I’m going to play…

The weather forecast was predicting rain for Sunday. I figured the clouds needed to start rolling in and was hoping they would make an appearance before sunset. Mother Nature did not disappoint me. I had an idea for a sunset image utilizing the Lensball and Delta Lake State Park was the best place to try it out. I was hoping for a little calmer waters but the gentle roll of waves coming to shore was not overwhelming. I had to be quick with the camera if I wanted a low enough angle. It worked out…
