In The Yard – ITY49
Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing. –Abraham Lincoln
When virtue is lost, benevolence appears, when benevolence is lost, right conduct appears, when right conduct is lost, expedience appears. Expediency is the mere shadow of right and truth; it is the beginning of disorder. –Lao Tzu

A few years ago, when I started working in Syracuse and was traveling the thruway everyday, I noticed that the state was planting wildflowers. There are whole areas dedicated to them. There is a Text Stop a few miles from Verona on the Westbound side that has two areas planted with the flowers. The area between the off-ramp and thruway at exit 48A has another area. As I passed these areas everyday I told myself I needed to stop and grab some images when the flowers were in bloom. Yesterday, in the 90+ degree heat I finally stopped. They were beautiful… it didn’t hurt they were also a favorite of mine. 🙂
