As I sit at my desk listening to the wind whip the snow around the house into big drifts, I find myself longing for days like this one. A simple bench on the edge of the water watching the sun set over a peaceful river. It is a symptom of the inconsistency in the weather. A few days ago it was in the 50’s, now it is in the teens with 20 mph winds. I really don’t mind the snow. It blankets the country side and provides great photo opportunities. I’m tired of the cold, especially when there is a strong wind… time to fire up the browser so I can plan a return trip to Florida and some warmth. 🙂

OK, I’m tired of hearing about the polar vortex and I had to shovel the driveway this morning with a wind chill of -24F. I was only outside for twenty minutes but that was enough for me to want to remember a warmer time. I pulled up my pictures from the trip to Florida over Christmas and found this one that has a nice warm feel to it. I love the reflection of the sunrise in the windows of the restaurant on the pier…
