Delta Lake State Park
I wish I could blame the Mother Nature for my lack of photography lately. Although she has contributed with this constant drizzle I have been a little busy (or is the four letter word lazy). Either way, it felt good to venture out last night with the camera. Nothing too crazy, a quick trip up to my old stand-by, Delta Lake State Park for the sunset. Or, what might have been a sunset if a front wasn’t passing through my area.
I promise, the sun was out and shining when I left the house. The ten minute drive saw my hopes for a view of the sun disappear behind the clouds but it did present an interesting big picture view. I worked a few different scenes as the official time for the sunset approached. I was lucky. There was no wind and it created an amazingly calm lake which provided great reflections.
As I was leaving the beach area I stopped to enjoy the view one last time. I couldn’t help myself. The view was begging for a nice panoramic image. In the sand, it only took me a few minutes to level the tripod so I could rotate the head and capture my set. Seven images later I was confident I captured what I needed. Lightroom does a fantastic job merging the images into a single picture. A quick process through Luminar and I had my autumn image of Delta Lake.
