That is GREAT tree!
I stop every time to photograph it.
I know what you mean. I have a couple of trees in local parks that I always look for, and usually shoot. This week I was in Katie’s park and I have a pair of trees there that I like and for a minute I thought they were gone and I was so sad! But they’re still there, it’s just the field has grown up with tall grasses and looks different. I really wanted to get those trees and the Milky Way in an image, but there’s too much light pollution. Of course if I learned photoshop I could just plop a Milky Way in behind them.
You know me and my preference for color, however, the B&W does make for some cool contrast on this shot.
I’ll keep trying with the B&W… 🙂
